Incorrect Course Evaluation
AJ Nakash
Hi, I took Intermediate Dutch I last fall and was just checking CourseTable to see if the time was still the same, I saw the difficulty rating was a 3.8 which immediately raised a red flag for me because there were only two of us in that class and we both found it easy (not counting students from other schools). When I read the course reviews I realized they were for a DS course not a Dutch course.

Hi AJ,
Thanks for reaching out. It looks like the evaluation mismapping for Intermediate Dutch I comes from incorrect source data in Yale’s OCE system. When our scraper pulled evaluations for this course, the OCE site returned data for DRST 005 — Directed Studies: Historical and Political Thought instead of the Dutch course.
If you check the OCE dashboard (https://oce.app.yale.edu/ocedashboard/studentViewer) and search for Intermediate Dutch I, you’ll see that no evaluations are available there. Unfortunately, that means there aren’t any official evaluations available for this course.
We’ll also be adding checks on our end to prevent similar mismatches from showing up in the future.
